Nine kilometres of fine sandy beach with 205 beach bars to choose
from
make Cervia Milano Marittima,
with the nearby resorts of Pinarella and Tagliata, the ideal destination for the
whole family. Kids can play on clean and safe beaches and you’ll find endless
opportunities to entertain them. Cervia can boast a unique heritage of parkland.
Cervia’s centuries old pinewood, the southern part of the “dense and living
woodland” sung of by Dante and Byron, streches for over 260 hectares.
A
23 hectares nature park was set up in the pinewood in 1963. Another more
recently planted pinewood of 24 hectares provides precious cool shadows and
fresh air between the beach resorts of Pinarella and Tagliata. There’s plenty of
parks and gardens that are a delight to visit. The efficient water purification
system – built in 1968 – guarantees clean waters and is the symbol of the town’s
‘ecological’ spirit.
Cervia’s
827-hectares salt pans are also a rich wildlife reserve where avocets,
blackwinged stilts, seagulls, mallards, even pink flamingos and many other
species make their nests. Cervia abounds in opportunities for the more active.
From the fitness trail in the pinewood to the numerous cycle routes, from clubs
to modern structures and equipment for all kinds of sport.
